COUTS KIDS

We can't wait to meet your kids! Couts United Methodist Church offers ministries for chidren birth through through 5th grade. Your children will be in a safe environment where they will learn about Jesus and have a fun time doing it. Our volunteers are background checked and MinistrySafe trained. 

 

If your kids are 4 years old through 5th grade, Couts offers discipleship opportunities on Sunday mornings. Sunday School for these ages is offered at 9:30 am. 

 

Your kids will love Wednesday Nights at Couts! We enjoy dinner together at 5:30 pm before we break out into our different age groups at 6:30 pm.  While you are in a small group, your kids 4 years old - 5th Grade can be a part of the Couts Kids program! 

Couts' Nursery

Couts provides a Nursery for children age birth to 4 years in room

# 107.  The Nursery is located on the east end of the building closest to Entrance B.  The  children in the nursery experience the love of God through trained and loving caregivers. The Nursery Staff, as well as volunteers, are background checked and MinistrySafe trained. 

 

 

Your First Visit

Visiting us for the first time? No fear! Our friendly greeters will show you where our kids ministry area is when you arrive. We will meet your family, check your child into class, and answer any questions you may have. We can't wait to meet you!

Special Events

In addition to Sunday School, our Wednesday night program, and VBS,  throughout the year there are a number of special events.   During the season of Advent we have a Children's and Youth Christmas Pageant during a Worship Service where they "tell" the Christmas Story using Narrators and Song. During the season of Lent the children will have the opportunity to process with palms during the Worship Service on Palm Sunday.  Also, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and a special telling of the Easter Story.  In the summer there are usually some outings planned such as swimming, for school age children, and other fun activities.  

Vacation Bible School - 2025

Vacation Bible School at Couts UMC was so much fun as we celebrated Christmas in July.  We had approximately 110 Children, Youth, and Adult Volunteers that enjoyed 4 evenings of study, crafts, snacks, games and music.  The last evening the families of the children came together for an evening of worship, a meal and fellowship. 2026 Dates will be coming soon.

WHAT WE TEACH

Your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and God's love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles to help them encounter the holy. The goal at Couts United Methodist Church is for kids to understand who Jesus is and how He can make a difference in their lives in meaningful and engaging ways!

SAFETY

All staff and volunteers are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children and know they will be well cared for and safe.  Every staff person and volunteer who works with children and youth is screened with a background check and MinistrySafe certified. Parents are asked to not leave their child until at least two MinistrySafe adults are present. We love partnering with you to make sure our young people have a safe and loving place to grow in their faith!

Couts Christian Academy

We love our school, Cout Christian Academy (CCA)! You are invited to take a look at what all is going on at this special ministry of the church.  CCA is a TAPPS accredited Pre K3 through Kindergarten.
